After playing Space Marine 2 for too long I thought the plasma pistol would be a fun project to model and implement in Unreal Engine.
Here's some stills from Marmoset of the asset to show this lovely weapon. Modelled in 3Ds Max, High Poly details in ZBrush, Unwrapped in Rizom UV, Baked and Textured in Substance 3D Painter and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.
12,634 Triangles and 1 set of 4K textures Basecolor, AORM and Normal. A shader was used for the plasma chamber that animates inside Unreal Engine and reacts to weapon temperature and overheating.
I'll post the complete asset in Unreal Engine soon but this prop was just too pretty and warrants it's own post.
