I thought the cell rooms from the last Evangelion movie were quite a good small environment to recreate for some practice on game assets and environment work.
All assets were made in 3Ds Max, unwrapped with Rizom UV, baked with Marmoset and textured in Substance Painter before being assembled in UE4 for lighting and a simple VR template used so I could capture some footage and experience the tiny environment in person.
I've learnt a lot from this project and more. but it's a nice little step towards more growth.
